Every year since 2010 SSF has tried to sponsor the most needy bright local students at Secondary School. The numbers we can help has doubled over that time and in August at the start of the new school year we welcomed 10 new students into the SSF 'family'. The selection process is understandably difficult as Tom Bilo in conjunction with the Head and teachers at Ramula Secondary have far more applicants than can be possibly be accepted. This year 4 out every five had to be turned away. Genuine need has to be balanced by the ability to cope with a very demanding secondary curriculum. It must be added that despite all the difficulties faced by our SSF students, every single one at Ramula Secondary has gone on to pass their final KCSE certificate before leaving. Most also go on to higher education courses or find worthwhile employment. Thank you to all the sponsor who make this possible

Here are photos of some of our new Form 1s. Names and personal information will be following. We have 10 in all: Diana, Mercy Peter, Noah Naomi, Mavine, Tracey Violet, Nancy and Denish.

Violet Awuor is 14 and has 6 siblings but is a partial orphan. Without both parents working and earning, paying secondary fees is virtually impossible but with sponsorship, she should complete school and hopefully other opportunities will open up as she gains her final certificate

Naomi Atieno. 15 years old. She has 7 siblings and her family are needy

Nancy Adhiambo - 14 years old is a partial orphan with 8 siblings
